Really fun atmosphere. Great bartenders. I always assume places like this are going to be all flash and no substance, but the food was actually really great as well! We tried the pizzas, which were awesome; the nachos, also very good; and my wife had a burrito which she said was also really, really good. Looked like everybody in this place was having a good time. We will definitely be back the next time we visit DL.

Second Visit... I decided to take a pizza to go this time as it was a wicked packed Sunday evening and I just wanted to get home after tubing. The pizza was ready by the time I was quoted on the phone, which is great. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly. The bartender who took care of my transaction was also very polite as well. The pizza was ten times better this time as well. There was literally no resemblence to the pizza I got in my first review. The sauce was sweeter and more fresh. The cheese was much much more unique tasting and fresh. The crust was thinner, softer and better, bordering on too thin but still alright. I'll likely try Zorbaz the next time I go tubing in DL to break the review tie.

I ordered the Taco Pizza and it was okay but not as good as many others I have had. The bartender takes your order and he was a surly fellow not what you want in a service business. The chips and salsa again are nothing to shout about and I have had better salsa in a jar. I don't understand the hype about this place and unless I stopped for a beer after a day at the beach I wouldn't revisit this place.

Incredible food and service! Blake the bartender was amazing! He gave suggestions on drinks and was really patient with our kids on the biggest weekend of the year! Thanks Blake! The runner Hannah was also great! Nice job Zorbaz!

We are at DL for 4th... And this place is awesome! 5 star! Food quantity for an entrees was huge & large in size... Better order one for 2 people & share it. My favorite was chicken enchiladas! Drinks are OK..

Not sure how anyone rates this place high... If I could give 0 stars, I would You have to go to the bar to order your food. It's like a fast food bar, without the fast food. I'd actually prefer McDonalds over this place.... "Cheeze bread" was a greasy sponge and their "marinara" sauce was terrible The salsa was bad, and the chips weren't much better I got the "Wingz". The menu says "at least 20 minutes" because they were clearly frozen, and reheated. And the buffalo sauce was not "buffalo" at all. Buffalo sauce has a flavor profile. These wings were clearly dusted with too much spice before the were reheated. There were three kinds of people there. Kids in their 20's, Parents living through a mid-life crisis who brought their poor kids, and old people with drinking problems. VERY LOUD, and filled with drunk people. A place for kids? Hardly.... VERY EXPENSIVE for a place that clearly serves frozen/re-heated food. The staff was very nice. Too bad you don't have a waiter/waitress.....

We just got done eating at Zorbaz right across from Detroit Lakes in Minnesota. I was little confused at sitting down looking at the menu and then walking back to the bar and ordering, but it all worked out in the end. We ended up ordering 2 personal pizzas and some garlic cheese bread, both had a very good taste and came out faster than we expected. The atmosphere inside is nice like a San Diego Beach Surfer restaurant and the staff was friendly.

You can't beat the beer selection at Zorbaz! And this is not your run of the mill pizza place either. The pizzas are imaginative, and I haven't found one I haven't liked yet. Try the Thai Pie (don't let the peanut butter scare you off - it's really good), the Zorbaz the Greek, or the Reuben. Macho Nachos are always a good choice as well! And I've been trying unsuccessfully for years to get them to give me their recipe for Colorado Green Chile. If you're a frequent guest, check out the Zorbaz loyalty card. It seems like I get free stuff almost every time I'm there!

I love Zorbaz! I would highly recommend any of the pizzas, the macho nachos (feeds 4 hungry teenage boys), and Gina's pregnant burrito. They have EXCELLENT beer selection, including Surley's! During the summer you can dine inside or outside. They usually have bands on the weekends during the busy summer season.

This is my first time to Zorbaz and to the area. It's below average. The salad was all taco toppings put into a bowl. The dressing was served in a to go package. Everything tasted like it was frozen food. I guess it would be fun if you were drinking a lot of shots and are 19!

This place is noisy, and the food is expensive. It is not worth the price and noise level.

My favorite place to eat in DL! If you go check out the Reuben Pizza, veggie pizza with artichoke hearts or the pregnant burrito! And don't forget a Sprecher root beer.

Pizza was great. We sat outside which was nice right by the lake. Husband had spaghetti and said the sauce was really good. Nice to be able to grab your own drinks and plates.

Get their BBQ chicken pizza if you come here! Their pizza was amazing. You place your order at a counter then they bring the food to you. And it's seat yourself. Nobody told us when we got there and they didn't have any signs so we waited for service after we sat down. They have huge outdoor patios with seating and it's right on the lake. If you're in the mood for good pizza this is the place to come.

Interesting place with helpful staff it is 4 out of 5 from me a beer and snack food place. It is a great place to sit and watch life stroll by while enjoying the above. I would rate this place a little lower if I was looking at it as a full restaurant, but it is what it is, and I enjoyed it for what it is. Next time in town I see myself sitting there with a drink in one hand and some snack food near by watching the beach.

One cool evening me and my lovely gf decided to drive to zorbaz just to take a look at the well known detroit lakes while tasting a great pizza and the cool beers. Well, we came, we see and we ate. LOL. Absolutely superb. Great service, nice ambience, nice premium tap beers and very very good food. I try the masamoto beers, kind of japanese in a sense and its very very strong. I might say the name wrong, but its good. If you happen to be in detroit lakes, pop in and say hello.

They have Premium on tap among many other beers, amazing pizzas, a cool crowd and menus that fold on angles. What's not to love? The pizzas are awesome. I was here for work and got a Bacon Cheeseburger and a Colby Cheesie, which tasted like chicken wings. Next time I go I will have to try the one that tastes like a Big Mac. This place is cool - go when in Detroit Lakes.

Zorbaz is the first 10 places you should go in Detroit Lakes. Great food. Try the Colorado Connection Burrito or the Chicken and Rice Burrito. They have a craft beer you want on tap. A bunch of them, actually. Great service. Great patrons. This is the place to be.

Zorbaz is our favorite place! Awesome pizza & mexican food. We drive 400 miles just to eat here, well & to visit our Grandma in DL. We usually eat here for days in a row for every meal, ha ha. Service is unique that you order everything at the bar but we love that! Tons of different beers & best of all they are always open til 2 am! The prices are normal to what you'd pay anywhere else. Highly recommend.

This place is great and makes creative pizza toppings. Who ever thought that Thai pizza with peanut butter would be so tasty!

some great pizza. Cool atmosphere as well. Every s on any menu or sign is replaced with a z though... kinda annoying. Anyway great array of weird toppings. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. All around awesome place. We eat here everytime we are up here. (2 or 3 times a year)

This is a fun place to go in Detroit Lakes. I'd give the pizza a 7.5 and the beer selection a 10. In fact, I couldn't believe the huge beer selection, given that it's a little joint in a small town. The beer selection is better than your average bar in a major metropolitan area. There's no table service; you order at the bar. I thought the food prices should have been lower, given that it's a lower-service restaurant. So, minus one star for "eh" pizza and the high prices--other than that, it's great!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
